Game 6. Shane Victorino doubled in three
runs in the third, and added an RBI single in the fourth as the Red Sox took
the early lead and never looked back. Boston
starter John Lackey became the first pitcher to start and win a World Series
clincher (2002 with the Angels) with his near seven innings of one run ball,
and David Ortiz was named MVP after hitting .688. Boston has now won three World Series titles in the past ten years.
